My computer had too much spyware on it so I reformatted my hard disk.

Now I can't reinstall my HP Scanjet 2100C Scanner.

The software seems to load but I get the error "Sorry, scanner could not be initialized. (Scanner not found)"

Everything is plugged in!  Help!

    This happed to me once!

    Try this:

    1. Turn the scanner on
    2. Go to the Device Manager (Right-click on My Computer, then click Properties)
    3. Find the item named "USB Device" , click on it and click ‘remove’ ;
    4. Just ignore the warning message
    5. Turn the scanned off scanner then on again

    Restart your computer and see if it works!
