@EJL 1284.4

Hi All...

I have a problem while printing with my Epson LX-300.
In WinXP OS have 2 drivers, one for LX-300 and the other for LX-300+.
When i used LX-300 driver, it works.
But when i changed the driver into LX-300+ there are 3 lines strange character :
@EJL 1284.4
@EJL

H              HH

Why i used LX-300+ driver for my EPSON LX-300 ?, because with driver LX-300+ i can use my own paper size that i've creted. If i use the LX-300 driver, my own paper size can not appear in the paper size list.

Please help me for this case.... Thanks

Here is a link to someone who had the same problem and managed to fix it.

 It involves editing a file. I would definatly make a backup of the file before you do any editing. I Installed the printer driver on my pc (also win xp) and you can find the .gpd file in the following directory. The file name is EPLX300P.GPD and it is in "c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3" maybe in a different location on your pc. Unfortunatly I dont have a lx300 to test the changes with. I would remove the following bit of code from the EPLX300P.GPD file.

*Command: CmdStartDoc
{
    *Order: DOC_SETUP.1
    *Cmd: "<0000001B01>@EJL 1284.4<0A>@EJL     <0A1B>@<0D1B>t<011B>6<1B>R<001B>P<121B>(U<01>"
+ "<000A><1B>(t<0300010100><1B>t<01>"
}

Like I said, I cant test this and dont know if it is going to work or what the outcome will be.

Good luck
