Is it happening to 1 user or all users?
Is it happening on 1 client machine or more than 1 client machines?

change the combinations - Make the user login from another machine.
                                    - Make someother user to loginf from this machine.

This is just to identify if its a user specific or machine specific.

It is only happening on one pc, I have tried this user on another pc and it is fine.

I am currently trying to update the service pack on the offending machine to see if that will make a difference.

any other ideas.
You might have to re-install Outlook on that machine. From the offending machine, try to access the mailbox using OWA.

Try configuring the machine back again with latest service packs/patches.

u can use "detect and repair" option in outlook help menu. if still same then reinstall the outlook, and the latest service pack for MS Office.
