is it possible in to read the status of any particularly service?

like msgbox("Service is currently " & getServiceStatus(name))

    Shows how, download the source and it shows how to enumerate, start, stop and view the status of services.

    thanks for this although do I need to down anything for using

    Imports System.ServiceProcess

    as this "cannot be found"?

    think thats okay actually, just added the reference.  i thought "imports whatever" was the same as adding a reference.
