DAO Doesn't work after recompile with VS 2005

Medium Priority
Last Modified: 2010-04-24
Using DAO functionality (I know I need to use ADO, but don't have the time right now)
If I compile the project in VS 6, it works fine
Compile in VS 8, I get this error -2147221164 on a Windows 98 machine.
I installed DAO 3.5 on the machine, but it didn't fix the problem.
Watch Question

Do you follow steps in the following post to deploy your application?
Running an .exe file compiled in VC++ 2005 on a different computer
Also at this link and check to see if you have latest MDAC version installed on the target system.

Thanks for the input.  I intend to try Lakshman's idea next time I have access to this computer.
It does work OK on Win2K machines.
