I am trying to install a program (Televantage Call Classifier add on) and it's trying to replace
winnt\system32\odbcjt32.dll.

But it's in use.  I have tried stopping services and all programs that I can.

I have tried to rename it and delete it, but it reappears every few seconds.

How do I stop the service/program that is using it so the install will complete?

That's the 'Microsoft ODBC Desktop Driver', see http://support.microsoft.com/dllhelp/?dlltype=file&l=55&alpha=odbcjt32.dll&S=1&x=6&y=17

What you can do to find out what is using this DLL is using the ProcessExplorer (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html). I'd guess it is some database related service, but there are a lot out of there.

Access or is there something called a jet db? Use msconfig.exe to identify what's running in the background. Look for an application that connects to a db.
Log on in safe mode and delete the app. Then boot normally and install.

What version of MDAC do you have installed?

Try downloading the latest version from Microsoft [MDAC 2.8]

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c

You could also install the lastest Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine..

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114

Then install Televantage Call Classifier add on, and let us know if anything changes..

One more thing: Are you running a Citrix client on your machine?
