What version of PSQL are you using?  There is an install toolkit and I believe one of the samples is a minimum client install.
You can currently run a silent install of the client but it's limited in what can be removed (depending on the version).

mirtheil,

i'm using pervasive 8.6 and will soon move to pervasive 8.7. I have the minimum client built as per their specifications however I dont know which switches to use to install it silently. I'm using the standard inno setup script to install the client and would like it to not require any user intervention. i'm installing the client basically for the odbc drivers.

To get a fully silent install, with Inno, use the following:
setup.exe /silent /verysilent

That'll do it.
