Acid Pro 5

I can't start the application. I get the following error message:
D:\Projects\rewire\ReWireDLL\Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(1266) : VERIFY failure

I don't even have a D: drive. I don't know why it's looking for that, or what rewire is! Does anyone know what this means?

If you don't, and I can't fix this, can you suggest a simlar program? I'm looking for a piece of software that acts as an Akai MPC...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry I wasn't done typing. I don't want Fruity Loops, so please don't suggest that.

Thanks a lot everyone,
Apparently you are not the only one to suffer. It looks like a known problem. I would say the message is from the code, and that is where that module is when developed. I dont believe its looking at your PC so dont worry. Applications dont tend to send out source code.

Find out how many ReWire.dll files you have installed. Perhaps you got old one's lying around. I assume the only one should be in windows\system32 folder

u could also try seeing if there is a newer driver and download that, see if that does it

I'm afraid tuneup didn't work. I will need to start looking for alternative applications.

Rockiroads, that was very insightful. I replaced the rewire.dll and that fixed that problem. But before the program loads there are several more dll errors from other files. I couldn't replace all of them. But I suppose if those extra errors didn't occur then your solution would work.
