HP Photosmart 7450 prints 3 pages of garble when PC restarts

after every restart, my HP photosmart 7450 printer will print 3 pages of garble.  I'm running XP Home, and I've uninstalled/reinstalled the latest HP driver, hard reset the printer, any thoughts?

    test the printer on another PC, to see if it causes the same trouble, it can be bad.
    Other than that, try upgrading your drivers to the latest version :

    updated the drivers, no effect.  Tried the printer on another computer and didn't have the problem.

    ok, so your pc is the cause.
    things to try : uninstall / reinstall the printer
    run sfc /scannow from the run box
