Replace monitor for TOSHIBA

Hi all,

I have 2 toshiba laptops, the old one a Satellite 2800 Model no. PS280C-000HP with a 14" monitor Model: N141X202 Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp and the new one a Satellite L10-117 with a 15" monitor, LG Philips LP150X08.

And here is my problem-question, my old laptop is not working due to bad MB, but thats ok bcs I have new laptop right? Well nope, new laptop fell down and broke the monitor, well again thats no big deal, used an external monitor and replaced my desktop which sucked big time and got a new Laptop.

However, having a bit 2 much free time on my hands I have been wondering for some time now, can I connect the old monitor to the new laptop? I have tried but have found a bunch of different connectors, ie the power and vga.

If anyone has a clue if it can be done pls let me know.

Cheers

No, you can only use the same type of display on the same laptop. Others can have different connectors (like you have noticed), and they usually also have different specifications like resolutions etc.
