I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you can't convert it, you instead can display it as 0.00

double d = 0.0;
String converted = new DecimalFormat("0.00").format(d);

you will only get the output in the form of String.

or something like:

NumberFormat nf = new DecimalFormat("0.00");
System.out.println("d="+nf.format(d));

or

System.out.printf("%.2f\n", d);

typo in the above

"0.00" should have been "0.0"

and %.2f should have been %.1f
