MSDOS network client connection to 2003 server

I require to connect an old CNC machine to a windows 2003 domain controller to reteve some files stored in a shared folder CAN the MSDos network Clent connect to a windows 2003 domain controller if so do i have to turn off some of the security on the 2003 server because it keep asking me for the Password even though it has been configured correctley

    make sure the security for logon on the client is mapping a drive using domainname\users and not just user.

    or try

    Enable the Guest account on your windows 2003 server for the dos client to access the share on your windows 2003 machine
