Upgrading the server to 6.5.4 without upgrading the clients.

I have a customer that is running Domino 6.0.3 and all clients are running 6.0.3 They want to upgrade the Domino Servers to 6.5.4 but not upgrade the clients for another 6 months. What potential problems could I run into?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There should not really be any issues as long as you do NOT upgrade any templates until then.

Even if you do upgrade the mail templates, it should not be a big issue, but it is not recommended.

When the clients get upgraded you can use the Admin tools to do a mass upgrade ( or singly ) of the templates.

I hope this helps !
