download and update the latest BIOS for your motherboard

In addition, right-click on the clock, adjust time, then go the INTERNET TIME tab.. click UPDATE

what about bios settings. are they lost as well?
if yes, check if u have put the jumper for 'reset bios' on permanently. remove this jumper or put it to neutral position.
if no, prob you have a faulty mb/ or even faulty battery holder.

Since when do you have the problem? It seems to that is not a new comp since the date of bios is january 2000. Try a BIOS update if you haven't allready and if so check the new hradware installed for any conflicts.
The power supply may be also the problem.
