I have installed Webmin on my remote server using the tar.gz package. It is up and running, if I check ps aux. But I cannout get the login screeen with the url it gives me :  All I get is a "page unavailable" error.

Is there some way to debug this? I am not very familiar with linux, but I can telnet in and follow directions.

Any assistance appreciated.

Webmin can be configured to write a log of web server hits, in the standard CLF log file format. If logging is enabled, you can also choose whether IP addresses or hostnames are recorded, and how often the log file is cleared. When enabled, logs are written to the file /var/webmin/miniserv.log.

Thanks. I took a look at the logs. Then just  removed the rpm version of webmin and re-installed as tar.gz. That seemed to do the trick. Second time RPM Webmin has boffled me.
