Feature question for Cisco 2924XL ?

I have a 2924XL-EN switch (Enterprise - 8mb). I need to know which IOS image provides SSH. I was advised that this depends on SMI / EMI, but I can't find the place where the boot messages indicate whether this is one or the other. Does this switch support SMI / EMI ? Does it support SSH ?

First off, SMI/EMI designation doesn't apply to 2900XL's.

Because the 2900XL's are EOL, it can sometimes be difficult to find information on them. I couldn't find anything about SSH and the 2900XL's in the feature navigator, but I did find this:


Which leads one to believe that it is supported.

I loaded c2900XL-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC10.bin, but the following command:

(config-line)#transport input ?

only lists telnet, not ssh.

Anyone know if there is an image that does SSH ?

I still can't find ANYTHING in the feature navigator on the 2900XL's.

But looking at the command reference, I noticed an absence of ssh commands.

I did find this which seems to indicate that SSH is not supported.


I'm thinking now that SSH is not supported on the 2900XL's.

SSH is NOT supported on the 2924XL. It didn't have enough memory for them to write code to support it.
