Hp Laserjet 1300

I have a hp laserjet 1300. I won't print. The light (orange) next to the button just keep blinking. I tried turn it off and on. It won't help. Any ideas?

The blinking ligh indicates an internal error with the printer. eg. paper jam or some other malfunction. check to see if there is a paper jam or if something else is stuck. Try removing the toner cartridge and turning off the printer AND unplugging it for about a min or two. that should clear the memory and give you a good view of the internals. Then reinsert and plug back on. If not it may be a circuitry problem in which case you may have to take it to a service station.
Uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers.

Also check the toner cartrides.

Does it blink regardless of whether u sent a job for printing or not ?

 If it blinks without any job on the print queue then you have an hardware issue with the printer try putting the power out for abt 3mins also open the printer and verify that there is no piece of paper or noticable dirts stuck in the printer if there are get rid of them. REmove your printer catridge and put it back the alignment may have been altered. First clear any item in the print queues by cancelling all documents to be printed.

If the blinking occurs only when you want to print then be sure the paper tray is sittng properly  and try printnig from a different application, Check if the PrintSpool services is on. if it is not then set it on
if it still does not work then you can consider uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver
