How do I implement a custom control (extended DropDownList) on a web form?

I have a custom control MyDropDownList that extends DropDownList (i.e. it is not a UserControl it is a "DropDownList").
How do I declare this control on a web form?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi smacca,

<%@ Register TagPrefix="MyDDL" Namespace="MyApp.MyNameSpace" Assembly="MyAssembly" %>

Then simply use:

<MyDDL:MyDropDownList runat="Server" />

With any attributes you have included there.
