Baseline Security analyzer and microsoft updates

I ran baseline security analyzer on a Windows 2000 server and it found a number of security patches needed, example: SQL server/MSDE critical update needed.  I've got auto updates running, and when I go to it says there are no critical updates, whether I do express or custom option.  So how to keep automatically updated on the non-Windows updates and not have to do this manually all the time?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

sql and msde are not patched using the winodwsupdate site. you need to take the Q document and or the KB number from the MSBA scan and search the MS site for the specific update required by MSBA to mitigate the vulnerability.
