Is it possible to play an avi file directly from the embeded resource file without having to extract it first?

Here is the background for this project.  I need to create an exectuble that lives on a fileserver that can be launched by many clients.  The only purpose of this executable is to play a video (a large demonstration video).

Eventually we will want to limit the viewing of the video and add other functionality (such as only allow viewing on specific machines, etc.).

The additional functionality is not included yet, but will be included in the near future.

Looks like that example extracts the file, which is my question.  Is it possible to play an avi file directly from the embeded resource without having to extract it first?

Probably not. The format has to be playable
