Microsoft Outlook

Sometimes if i receive mail. Before I download it to my Ms Outlook I first view it on the ISP's website too see how big the file is and then I download my mail if I want it. But sometimes I dont know what happens If i click send and receive then nothing comes in and if i go on the internet to view the message then its gone is it something thats wrong with my MS Outlook or what?

I am guessing you use a POP3 account, check in your outlook settings, change it to leave a copy of message on the server. If you read messages on the web interface do they normally download?

If you have McAfee or some other antivirus running on your computer, it will work to screen out infected email attachments, so they don't go to your Inbox.  They will go directly to some other folder like "Quarantine".  They appear to vanish but it does not mean that anything is wrong.

Sometimes it will bit late to come to your outlook due to network traffic. And you can set your send/recieve frequency via settings. then outlook will automatically check for send/reciev items for perticular inteval. I need more clarification please don't hesitate to reply.

Please check the configuration of the Outlook

Incoming Mail Server(POP) : ip /pop3 mail server
Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP) : ip/smtp server

Port for POP3 : 110 / 995 (secure)
Port for SMTP : 25 / 465 (secure)

After configuring Use following to set outgoing authentication properties :
1. Tools> Accounts > Mail > Select the mail account > Properties.
2. Server > Check my server require authentication > use same settings as my incoming mailserver.
