Outlook 2003 sends two copies of emails

My Outlook 2003 client (connected to MS Exchange 2003) is sending double copies of emails (new emails). There are no rules in place for this. Any ideas?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

are you sure you are sending two copies or the recepients are receiving two copies.

chances are, the recepients are having rules not you.

check your sent items if you really have two items sent.
It can also happen under certain outlook settings like dual entries in distribution lists, rules in place in outlook etc,.
Were you able to isolate whether it happens to every person you send to? Single recipient email or multiple recipient emails have the same issue etc?

Now it is sending and receiving double copies- but only to and from about 3 other users who's accounts are hosted on my Exchange server. This is very weird- there aren't any rules in place that would make thishappen.
