Microsoft outlook mailitem, flagicon not working

Hello,

Hoping you can help,

I have some code which creates a new outlook email item, i want to be able to set the colour of the flag when its received.
At the moment i use this line of code
.FlagIcon olGreenFlagIcon

What happens is the email sends fine, when the receipient gets the email it does have a flag but its RED! not green.

Has anyone come across this before, let me know if you need the full code.

Cheers
Steve

From the Outlook VBA Reference .....

FlagIcon Property

.

Remarks
Setting the FlagIcon property before sending an item will not set the flag on the item when the recipient receives it.

But as a work around, you might create a custom mail form and use the ITEM OPEN event to set the flag on the other end.  But this would  require getting around other security issues.

At the moment it does set a flag icon buts its red, not green as i would have thought from the code. I might just have to stop being picky and stick with the red. Anyother ideas??
il close if not.

If these are being sent to the same user, you might have then add a rule to flag them green.

Other than trying the Item Open event, I'm out of other ideas.
