Don't know what you configured on your Cisco stuff, but you need
ntp server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

clock timezone PST -8
clock summer-time PDT recurring

Substitute you own timezone as needed, and you don't need the 3rd line if you're in a state or country that doesn't do Daylight savings.

By default the routers will use UTC time which is the same as GMT.

You may also want "service timestamps log datetime msec" if you do "logg buff X"; that way your logs will have time stamps instead of uptime counters.  It's a pain in the butt to figure out how far apart two events were when they both say "15w2d".  :)

We configure one of the core router as a time server and has all the other router/switches point to the core to get its time
