hi all,
          i am using an adsl connection giving 250 kbps speed.but if i use it or 3 hours then 45 mb data r downloaded automatically while surfing Internet.how can i reduce it to 5-10 mb

not sure why you are getting an error.

Perhaps write them.. you may have conflicting software.. but best to get the information from the source.

If you want to check the downloaded speed then use the following speed

If you want to devide your download speed then use the DAP download accelerator It is show download spped and you can manage your bandwidth.

There are some points to pay attention to here:

1. Why does it bother you the amount of data downloaded?

2. Not all downloaded data is stored on your pc.

3. You cannot reduce the amount of data which is downloaded without denying internet service access to some applications that run on your PC, if you will - just the rate will be reduced - not the amount of data downloaded.

The only way to reduce the amount of data on the link is by using compression, and it is something on the ISP level (if you are a home user) or its on the SysAdmin /IT level, to set up WAN Acceleration (Anyway, this is not for you as it seems).

@mithunda50....was the purpose of your question to regulate the bandwidth so that you don't go beyond your download/upload limits with your provider?
