Couple of Discussion web questions...

I am not sure if I should post these separately, but I have a couple of questions regarding a new discussion web I just published on our intranet site.

The first deals with displaying the most recent entries to the discussion on the welcome page - I wanted to be able to display entires for, let's say, the last week,  and have those most recent articles displayed initially instead of having to select the page refresh option *after* posting a new article.

Second,  how can I modify the dynamically created results pages (i.e., the page with the htm0.idq extension) so any selected article will display within a frame on that page rather than opening the actual article in the same page, where the theme and the navigation options are gone?

Lastly, how do allow use of wild cards in my searches?

TIA!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think I answered one of my questions already...

It appears that sending the user to the disc1_fr,.htm page first eliminates question #1, although I would still like to know how recent are th earticles that are displayed by default, and how I can use wild cards in the searches...

what is the search that you are using?  is it the frontpage search component, is it custom programmed, is it a third party app?  are you using a SQL DB or Access?

create the frame and name it, then set the target of the link you are using to generate the results as the name of the frame.
