deleting file from flash

I'm trying to delete a file from flash and get this message "Can not delete file on the device"

how can i delete this..?

Console> (enable) show flash

the .D tag means the file is "deleted" but recoverable...kind of like the Recycle Bin in Windows.

To get rid of it use the Squeez command (squeeze [m/]device)
:


Console> (enable) aqueeze flash:cat6000-sup.5-5-1.bin

oops.....got too cut/paste happy....

the command doesn't include the filename...your purging the device (will nuke any .D'd files)

Hmm....

do a "show disk0: " or "show slot0: "

does the file contents show up with either of those commands?

Try the sweeze command using "squeeze slot0: " (or disk0: ) and see if the switch is seeing it as that instead....  I've ran into that before.
