Hi, I install Tomcat 5.5 on my Win 2000. I try to start the service, it says it is started, and when I go to one of the web application, the page cannot be shown, and when I checked the service, it is closed.

How to resolve this problem? Any suggestion is welcome:-)

go to your tomcat installation folder & check the folder logs... there will be a startup.log...
see if you can find something usefull from that log..

Thanks, using that log, I have found the problem.
The problem is Tomcat 5.5 need to download extra package to run with J2SE 1.4.x. (I am using J2SE 1.4.x)
So, after download and install the extra package, the problem solved.

What is written in the log is

This release of Apache Tomcat was packaged to run on J2SE 5.0
or later. It can be run on earlier JVMs by downloading and
installing a compatibility package from the Apache Tomcat
    binary download page.
