"Searching...." message after search button is pressed

I have a site (Spring,Hibernate,JSP,JSTL,sitemesh) which users enter search keys and press search. I would like the page to show a message saying "Searching..." until the results are returned. Any ideas how I could achieve this? I don't want to use frames.

Thanks.

Hi Anupama_2005,

Alternately, you can simply change the page content using JavaScript.

<form .... .... onsubmit="document.getElementById('status').innerHTML='Searching...'">

<div id="status">
</div>

</form>
