Roaming Profiles

Can someone provide me with a nice writeup describing roaming profiles?  This is the first time we're venturing into this and we've got it pretty much figured out, but there are still some dark corners.

Is there something that describes all the features, etc..?

thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Romaing profile means user profile which reside on the server. Its mean user can have their own computer when they logon on any workstation.

without romaing profile, let say normally use logon at workstation1 and configure some his own setting. But when user try to login at workstation2, user's own setting will not appear on workstation2. Then that user will prompt you about user's own setting.

Romaing user profile can solve that kind of problem. User can always have his/her own setting on any workstation.

It's a advantages of romaing user profile.

Note that if the profile becomes to big it can become corrupted. There is a tool for fixing corrupt profiles, but I can't think of it or find right now. You can also make them mandatory to prevent this. In the profile there is a NTUSER.DAT file just rename it to NTUSER.MAN now it can't be changed.
