Does anyone know how to set a field to blank date using peoplecode.

I am trying to set DOB = "";
this doesn't work because left side is the date type and right side is string type.

    Isn't there something like null (or nul) to use instead of ""?

    nope. It won't allow to use null because null is an object type and DBO is date type.   Match error.

    To solve the problem I created a local date variable and assigned it to DOB when appropriate.

    Local Date &dummyDate;

    DOB = &dummyDate;
