External Monitor not picking up laptop screen

I have a Fujitsu T Series Lifebook laptop/Tablet. I used to be able to hook up an external monitor through the monitor port. I joined this computer to a domain and now nothing comes up on the screen and no signal is detected. I get no response from the monitor key. Is there some setting somewhere that controls this? I unjoined the computer to the domain and it still doesn't work. Any idea?

Joining a domain has nothing to do with an external monitor working or not.  You should try the Fn F10 key combination that toggles the external monitor on or off:
