We have our custom code built as DLLs using VB6. The front end is ASP and the database is SQL Server 2000. We want to migrate the tech stack to use J2EE technology, on Oracle Application Server. I was curious to see if there are any tools which automate/aid this migration. The major effort is in converting View layer from ASP to JSP and the business logic layer from DLL to Java based.<br />

Migrating from VB6 to java

Java is a platform-independent, object-oriented programming language and run-time environment, designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible such that developers can write one set of code across all platforms using libraries. Most devices will not run Java natively, and require a run-time component to be installed in order to execute a Java program.
