Outlook 2003 - Is there a limit to how many Additional Mailboxes can be opened without Performance being slowed?

Outlook 2003 - Is there a limit to how many Additional Mailboxes can be opened without Performance being slowed?

Some Administrative Assistants (AA) support up to eight bosses.  Each boss grants delegate rights to his/her Mailbox, Calendar, Inbox, Contacts.  The mailboxes are then added to the Administrative Assistant.  They (AA) are complaining that when they switch between one folder to the next folder (sometimes same mailbox or between Mailboxes) they some time wait up to 2-5 minutes before the folder information is displayed.  (all have the same version of Office 2003 and up-to-date patches).

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you can try creating a profile for each mailbox ("boss"). the updating time at first is slow for each one depending on the size of each mailbox. or you can split it into 2 or 3 profiles. which ever work best. hope that help.

Thank you aiaila for replying.
When the boss is out... the AAs answer all their phone calls.  They need to access possibly one boss's calendar then a different boss's calendar for the next phone call.  Having several profiles where you have to logout and login would not increase access time.  Or am I miss understanding you?
Its not so much a question of how many, but one of "how big" the total opened becomes.
Outlook does take a performance hit as the information store grows.
You may to open then on an "as needed" basis.

Or force the boss(es) to archive more than they already do (if at all).  (Good Luck..)

If OWA is available, then I'd us it to open bosses' mailboxes.
