capturing video

I was wondering what options I have for capturing the video of my computer screen.  For the purpose of testing software I need a way to do this so user actions may be traced in detail.  The laptop to be used has an s-video output.  Will I need any additional software to correct the screen resolution etc.?

thanks

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I like Hypercam From Hyperonics. I use it in our QA department when testing to record new additions to the software we produce. It is a great way to show people how to use the software and it produces an AVI that can play on just about anything. Theres a free trial
