OWA 2003 blocking attachments

windows 20003 with exchange 2003 we have internal users that email .xml files to each other OWA is blocking them i already removed .xml from level1 and level2 attachemnts under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeWeb\OWA and rebooted the box but they are still being blocked.  Help !

You can download the OWAAdmin tool from Microsoft, a web based application, which allows to set a lot of settings, including the blocking rules and file extensions and mime types. Here you can see, that also application/xml MIME types are blocked. Just search for OWAAdmin at MS Downloads

How to Configure Attachment Blocking in Outlook Web Access on Exchange Server 2003!

There are 2 levels of file attachments for Outlook Web Access.  Level1 attachments have file extensions that are prohibited from accessing by OWA.  Level2 attachments have file extensions that can be accessed, but only if saved to the client's file system first. OWA is installed with a default set of file extensions for the two levels as shown in the following registry keys:
