Good sites for freelance work?

Hello,

I am interested in freelance work and looking for some small scale projects in Java to make little $$.
Can someone please direct me to a site where I can sign up for free and do some Java development?

Thanks.

"make little $$" is the keyword.  Remember you will be bidding on jobs from coders around the world, so if you are in a poorer country those sites will be great, but if you are not it will not be worth your time to take on those jobs (depending on the exchange rate too!).

For example I live in the U.S. and if I were to bid on a 100 hour job on Elance I would need to bid about $2000 dollars to pay the bills, but someone in India or Russia could do the same thing for $200 or less.
