XP not defragment, access denied

I'm trying to defragment my hard drive using the windows xp command prompt, this is what i typed:
 C:\>defrag <c:> at 09:15 every:M,T,W,TH,F
Access is denied.

Yet it said Access is denied, i have no clue why, since this is my comptuer and i dunno why it would say such a thing, can anyone help me?

    at 09:15 every:M,T,W,TH,F "defrag c:"
