Import Function!

Hi all this is Sam.

I'm a Visual Foxpro 6.0 user and now having troubles of using import function.

I'm expecting to import .rep format file content into Visual Foxpro Database(VFPDB). I checked out the reference bood and VFP doesn't seem understand this format, then I used Excel to open this file and its data were mixed up in one column. I used wizard what gererated by Excel to put them all back in right columns, and now its able to be imported into VFPDB.
But imagine how long would it take if over 300 .rep files to be imported?
So is there any other way out to do that without through Excel?

Urgent and many thanks,
Sam.

And it might be better to post your Foxpro questions in the EE Foxpro area:

If it is a columnar text file, you could use APPEND FROM:

APPEND FROM Command
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/dv_foxhelp9/html/c426861f-e5ef-44ae-96a6-8dbc7a4a2ad5.asp?frame=true

APPEND FROM FileName | ?[FIELDS FieldList] [FOR lExpression]
[[TYPE] [DELIMITED [WITH Delimiter | WITH BLANK | WITH TAB
      | WITH CHARACTER Delimiter] | DIF | FW2 | MOD | PDOX | RPD |
      SDF | SYLK | WK1 | WK3 | WKS | WR1 | WRK | CSV | XLS | XL5
[SHEET cSheetName] | XL8 [SHEET cSheetName]]] [AS nCodePage]

Example:
APPEND FROM myfile.rep TYPE SDF

But, I have no idea what a .rep file is.

Well .rep is the format where gererated by the computer machine, but not sure what machine is. It seemed no way to import .rep into Visual Foxpro, as VFP doesn't contain such format. But thanks for your comments.
