Please give some more information. Is it that you want to move the contents of a POP box into a separate account on an Exchange Server?

Yes. Currently the mailbox is POP. We want to start operating it as an exchange on the exchange server. Yes we will have to move the contents from the existing pop to the exchange account.
My problem is I don't know what are the steps to take in respect of - changing to the exchange, and moving the contents to the server.

This is a common issue. Migrating mail from one platform to another is never straightforward. It would be very useful to know the platform the current POP box is using (e.g. Squirrelmail, etc.). Usually, the easiest thing to do is to download all the mail to a client program such as Outlook or Outlook Express and then export it to Outlook. It can then be moved into the Exchange mailbox.

Other than that, you could access the POP box and the Exchange box via IMAP (if possible) simultaneously (in something like Outlook Express) and drag the mail from the POP box to the Exchange account.
