How to Spam test my mail filter gateway.

I just setup a Mail Filter Gateway.  This is the first time I have done this.  It all works so far.  But, now I want to test it with SPAM and Virus emails.  Does anyone provide a service to spam my server for a while to see how it handles it?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't know of a service to send spam messages (although visiting any of the on-line greeting card sites and sending something to your self is probably equivalent).

To test your anti-virus, visit, then click on the "test virus sender".  it will send you the eicar virus in several disguises.

No such service, really. You may create special 'trap' mailbox and publish it's address on several news conferences or web boards.
Then (withing a week) you will get lots of spam emails to your fake mailbox. Use not 'filtered' messages for your spam catcher training
(if it has some bayes like rules). More pages with that publish that email - more spam you will get.
What about viruses, BudDurland solution is good, but 'eiscar' may be the only virus, that your filter may catch. So, now relyable
way to test it, just wait and see what hapens.
There is also a test file for spam filters.  Look for GTUBE on the internet.

Both test files will show if your filters work at all, it's not a bad idea to try that. As the other comments say: Then you have to wait and see.
