In my Windows/Temp folder there are hundreds of 0 KB files labeled only ib, as in ib1, ib2, ib3, from 3 to 6 of them for every day since I reloaded the operating system a year and a half ago. Can't find any info on "ib files" using Google. I'd like to know what they are and can I delete them.

i am not sure what the files are.

but being in the temp folder they would be safe to delete.

run
click start
run
type: cleanmgr

run the wizard on C:\
then there is an option to clear temp files
