Could you kindly explain, the points which you wants to achieve exactly. Becuase I can not see your exact questions... and this site is pretty good and used some number of technics. But all are not difficult to achieve. And some times I will explain some technic, which you already knows and you don't want to achieve....

the goal will be to move things before, after and during while things are loading and after they are loaded.  For example on the site that I mentioned "www.branthouse.com" when you click on the menu...the 2 circles in the middle *one on the left and the other on the right* they go up once you click on the menu....then when either the movieclip or swf is loaded they go down back to their original place.  Doesn't have to be exactly this way but some kind of code that will do similar technics like they are using.

Its like this...
You can put two buttons in the main movie clip.(main.swf) And if some interation happening on it (button click), then you can move those move buttons to what ever the place using "_x" value. Or else you can simply create a movie clip with moving animation and can direct to that movie click when move(onRelease) happens.

And to the middle side you can load movies(swf files) with loadMovie command with Levels. (So you must put those movie files to seperate movie clips). And for those movie clip's you can check how much loaded from the total byes and you can fill loading movie. And if you wants to unload those from stage you can use unloadMovie command.
You can more idea about loadMovie and unloadMovie from following solutions.

And if you want to pass variable between swf files you can use getURL command with "?".

If you need more details don't hesitate to reply.
