Downloading Group Policy Templates

Hi..

I have windows 2000 pro desktops and I already apply the MMC console and I used the Group Policy Editor..

I don´t have Active Directory.. I have few computers with that S.O ..

So I have to apply the policies each computer..

but with Windows 2000 Pro it doesn´t has policies to avoid user installation software, avoid messenger, etc..

So I wonder if someone can help me to pass me reference of links to download templates of group policy editor..

Hi,

"Group Policy ADM Files"
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=92759D4B-7112-4B6C-AD4A-BBF3802A5C9B&displaylang=en

also you can search on Google for "custom ADM"

Hi,

Use the 2003 SP1 ADM files.

If you don't want users to install soft you should lower priviledges, move them from the "Administrators"  to the "Users" group. And if you need to avoid messenger and others (ie: games) you should use "Software Restriction Policies" instead.

Free Tool: ZipGrep

ZipGrep is a utility that can list and search zip (.war, .ear, .jar, etc) archives for text patterns, without the need to extract the archive's contents.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way to say thank you for being a part of the community.

is working , I copied ADM files from windows 2003 server and I just extract them with extrac32.exe from windows 2000 pro and I went to MMC console
I add a snap-in Group Policy and then I click with the right bottom add/remote templates over from administrative templates and I just select system.adm

and works!!

anyone who has question about this... here is the answer...
