Server Error, Source: VSS, Event ID: 6013

Experts:

I am getting an Error, Source: VSS with Event ID: 6013. A similiar problem was previously submitted through the exchange (I left a link below). Anyway, the suggested solution does not apply in my case since the server receiving the error does not have its "Shadow Copy Components" selected to be backed up, nor is the MSDE directory being backed up.

The server is SB2003 Terminalk Server. Help please.

This error can also be caused by a SQL instance that is locked, such as ACT!. ACT! can only be accessed by purchasing the SDK from Sage Software. The best workaround is to shutdown the ACT! SQL instance during a backup and turn it back on afterwards.

Thanks for the post. However, we have only one app that runs an MSDE SQL instance. The program is installed on the C:\ drive and that entire drive is not being backed up (also excluding the MSDE folderthat contains the SQL instances).
