I cannot open acrobat reader 7

Hi,

Since I installed acrobat reader 7, I cannot open any pdf file. I also tried to go to start->programs to open acrobat reader, but it did not show up. However, I see in the task manager that AcriRd32.exe is taking 70-80% of my CPU. Does anyone know why?

Thanks

dude try to uninstall the adobe acrobat reader, restart the system and then reinstall the adobe acrobot and now try to open pdf files

caution make sure you properly install adobe acrobat, you must wait untill full installations complete, if the problem still perisits try to download the file again frm the adobe server.

even if adobe did not recognize pdf files here is a way

right click the pdf file and select open with > choose program and select the adobe acrobat reader

Greetings, TungVan !

Looks like Acrobat Reader did not install correctly.  Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.  Uninstall Acrobat Reader.  Then reinstall it.

To associate PDF file with Acrobat Reader, right click on a PDF file and select Open With.  Select Acrobat Reader, and check Aways use this program. Click OK.

To pevent AcriRd32.exe taking up 70% of your CPU usage, open Task Manager, and close acriRd32.exe.

Best wishes!

I tried to uninstall the acrobat reader 7, restart and reinstall it. I still have the same problem. The application just doesn't do anything when I tried to open it.
Did you associate a PDF file with Acrobat Reader 7?  What happens when you click on a PDF file?
two possible problem  1- you cant uninstall software completly  2- you cant install it correctly  or your installer isnt safe    solving :1- uninstall  adobe reader  then  clean
registry  from its keys   start menu--run---regedit------

find all key of reader and delete them   now install  reader  if problem exist  use another  installer from adobe

reader software are free
