Tried that - still no luck. The Arcserve services are running under the LocalSystem user account. Is the password for this account the same as the caroot account ?<br />

Brightstor Arcserve Backup v 11.0 - W2K Server

When I try to open Backup Manager I receive the error message in the subject title. I have reset the password on the caroot account in ADUC but it still keeps coming up. 
This started after the server was rebooted.

Server failed to authenticate the user caroot (EC=-1)
