I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Install windows first, leaving the space you want for Solaris free.

Then install Solaris in the free partition.  Try it.

Try these for awk

There may also be some free ones - as an aside, have you thought about running one under a VMware host? then you can have them both at the same time which is really useful.
