i have a flickering problem with an eclipse-rcp application. i'm displaying a series of images in a Canvas object with a paint method like this:

private void paint(GC gc)
      gc.drawImage(images[imageIndex], 0, 0);

everytime i update the imageIndex, i call the redraw() method and i get the flickering. it seems that the image area is painted white somehow before the image gets drawn. how can this be stopped?

thanks for any help.
