I have to load windows 2000 server O/S on this LP 1000r.  This is the problem.

I boot the server up and it comes to the screen saying Press any key to boot from CD.  I do that and it starts to load windows 2000 server.
Then I come to a screen that says to load windows press enter.  When I press enter it brings me to a screen that says the following.  Keep in mind the hard drive is fine and the bios has been updated.  Hp support could not help after a 3 hour call with them.  The server is currently running windows NT 4.0.

" windows 2000 server set-up"
"set up did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.  Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer supplied diagnostic or set-up program

Set-up cannot continue. to quit setup press F3

Please let me know what I can do because I have no idea.  Thanks!

The Windows 2000 server doesn't have any built-in (OEM) drivers for the harddrive controller in the server.

You need to download the correct drivers from the HP website and create a driver diskette. Then, when the first blue screen of Windows 2000 Setup appears, press F6 (a couple of times) and it will ask you for the driver disk.

Then it should recognize the hard drives.
